Remove Underarm Hair at BSL Clinic and Throw Tweezers and Razors Away

Ms Nan, an independent woman who enjoys visiting the fitness centre, is continuously concerned and embarrassed by the increase in the release of her sweat. This condition is known as hyperhidrosis or commonly recognised as excessive sweating, which is caused by humidity. It generally occurs in the armpits, hands, face, feet and parts of the body. It, in turn, leads to strong unpleasant odours inconveniencing her within social and work situations. Ms Nan received first-class treatments undertaken by BSL Clinic’s dermatologists. The results were positive and presently, Ms Nan no longer worries about her excessive sweating. Ms Nan has complete confidence in wearing the clothes she chooses.

Methods of Underarm Hair Removal Can Cause Damage to the Skin

The removal of underarm hair through plucking, waxing and razoring can substantially damage the skin within the underarm region, causing it to become bumpy.

Individual results may vary.

BSL Clinic’s highly experienced dermatologists with their latest and advanced technology can achieve the permanent removal of hair within the underarm area. Without damaging the epidermis, the penetration of the hair roots is carried out through laser heat.

The operation of BSL Clinic’s advanced laser technology is both US FDA and Thailand FDA approved.

Apparent Results After Treatments

One course of treatments at BSL Clinic includes five sessions. An additional offer of three sessions is also available. Patients will see the beneficial outcomes after the initial treatment, and BSL Clinic guarantees the results of the underarm therapy for up to two consecutive years.  However, BSL Clinic will not take responsibility for the growth of white underarm hairs.

BSL Clinic’s highly experienced dermatologists will undertake an analysis of the patient’s hair pigment to understand whether or not the colour is light or dark. The utilisation of different advanced laser technologies is for various purposes. For dark coloured hair, the application of a 1064nm infrared technology into the pigment gently generates heat into the root to eliminate the hair roots. The procedure takes place within the first few treatments. For light coloured hair, the application of two laser technologies for the treatment is utilised.

The first laser advanced technology is the identical one used to treat dark coloured hair initially. However, the energy has to be increased to eliminate the hair root of the light-coloured hair. The second laser type employed is the Lumenis advanced technology because it can emit the electromagnetic waves to stimulate the hair pigments efficiently. This procedure is undertaken within the first few treatments.

Preparation Before Treatment

An individual’s preparations before treatment is vital. These include the following:

  • Avoid sunlight for at least 2 weeks
  • Avoid using roll-on deodorants for 3 to 5 days
If it is possible, carefully razor and pluck the surrounding hair around 1 to 2cm (the patient should observe whether or not hair growth occurs after 3 to 5 days). If, however, there is the appearance of hair growth, the patient should consider the treatments offered by BSL Clinic.

Treatment Aftercare

  • Avoid sunlight for at least 1 week
  • Avoid using roll-on deodorants for 3 to 5 days
  • Avoid touching the laser treated areas because inflammation will occur after the procedure is undertaken (after treatment the skin may appear red)
