What are they?
Fraxel Laser technologies provide selective resurfacing treatment of the face and other areas of the body, including chest, arms, hands, upper back and legs.
Why are they utilised?
Fraxel Laser treatments target both aged and sun-damaged skin. The microscopic laser columns breakthrough deep into the skin to accelerate the body’s remodelling of collagen. The surrounding tissue is left intact, promoting quick recovery. The treatment resurfaces the skin by stimulating the growth of healthy skin.

What types of Fraxel Laser technologies are there?
There are 3 types of Fraxel Laser models. These Fraxel Laser models can adjust their energies to various depths, wavelengths and set their power performance levels. It is important to select the most suitable type of model for treating specific types of skin conditions for effective outcomes.

The 3 Types of Fraxel Laser Models:
- Fraxel Refine 1410nm – works at lower energy levels, targeting the shallower areas underneath the surface layer of skin for 350 to 650μm. It targets water in the tissues and not the melanin skin pigments. It is suitable for all skin types and colours.
- Fraxel Restore 1550nm – works at a more in-depth level underneath the surface layer of skin and covers more areas for 350 to 1400μm. It also targets water in the tissues and the melanin skin pigments.
- Fraxel Dual 1550 to 1927nm – is similar to the Fraxel Restore 1550nm. This model works on the upper layer of skin for resurfacing. The 1927nm is not suitable for those who have highly sensitive or thin skin.
